The thing is I’m not… do you what I’m talking about?

I’m talking about grabbing your mindshare, the mindshare of the population.

Who is a blogger without any people to read their blog? Who is a baker without any people buying their cakes? Who is an internet marketer without any influence over the people he is trying to influence?

The truth is, they are the average Joe; they are the guys and girls of the world who don’t do anything exceptional, anything attention grabbing, anything worthy of grabbing the mind share of the people they are trying to connect with.

The mindshare is that which is your ability to have that audience, create that unique community of people that listen to you and want to talk about what it is you talk about. 

You see, it’s the people that step outside the average normal day to day dredge of society and work and make their stand in life that actually become those people that you hold in high regard, that you buy their products, listen to what they say and  just plain and simply are not like.

You see, they are not the average person, they are not the people that are at a loss of averages. They are the elite, the strong, the poeple we strive to be, but guess what, there is nothing special about them, they are just like you and me.

So how do you grab this mindshare?

Well it’s not that hard! It’s about going and deciding what you want in life and making a stand about what it is you want, what you will accept and also what you wont accept. You dont see Tony Robbin accepting anything less than he deserves, what about Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Roger Federer, Tiger Woods?

They wont accept anything less and neither should you. So it is time now, to make that decision, make the concerted effort to be the person that you were born to be, not just the average Joe.

Try it.

I have a mentor. So, what a great weekend was had by all at the Traffic Generation Summit, and in particular me! I was helping out Mark Anastasi with the event so that means I get to hang around with the speakers and make good contacts. My role was as speaker liason which means that I look after all the speakers that are presenting, get them set up on stage, powerpoint presentations, etc, and it was great.

I met some amazing people and have made some really good contacts. I suppose the biggest internet marketers were there, with the likes of Matt Bacak and his wife, Armand Morin, Sean Roach, Adam Ginsberg plus many many more. It was wicked.

I even got to meet people like Robert Puddy, Jennie Armato, Chris Freville (Who is launching a new product in a few days) and even Dean Holland and had some beers with Dean Hunt.

My main aim of the event was to get a mentor and guess what…… I did. Yes, Choosing a mentor is so cool, I am so excited, my new mentor is going to be Mark Anastasi. We get on really well, he has a great way about him and I know I can learn so much from him. So, thank you Mark for accepting me onto your mentorship program I am really looking forward to it and cant wait to start seeing my income grow with your guidance.

So, how to choose a mentor. Guys, You really need to get out there, find the right mentor that you can work with, make sure there is a good fit of personalities and then work and strive like never before to fulfill your goals.

So here  I am with my new mentor, and the great thing about this is that all it took was me getting off my ass and going out and actually asking could he be my mentor.

Hi guys,

Choosing a mentor, and how it can help you!  Yep it would be great if we all had the minds or Aristotle or Plato, heck even bill gates or Donald Trump, but unfortunately, most of us don’t and in particular me….So this is about me choosing a mentor and I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

How are things, I know it has been a while but I have been out partying… eeeekk, and not really doing any work at all so I am a bit miffed at myself at the moment. But, I have an absolutely brilliant weekend planned ahead. I am off to the traffic generation summit in London tomorrow till sunday and i cant wait.

The reason being is that, well, I’m actually on the look out for a mentor…. a proper mentor that is going toguide me on the steps that I need to take in order to make the most of my internet marketing career. It’s going to be so good to finally have all these traffic masters in one room and I will have my pen and pad out writing down things that I like about each possible mentor.

There are a few that I have in mind so I hope they live up to all the hype about them, but I’ll let you know either way.

You see when going at this alone you really need to find a mentor. I personally have gone around the hard way, yep I have friends who are very successful internet marketers and make a lot of money and YES they do guide me to a certain extent, but I think that I really need someone to sit down with and me say… this is what I am doing, this is what I have, now what sould i do next. Although you have to take personal responsibility for everything you do,it will be nice for a chnage to be actually told, … "you might like to try this, or do that" you catch my drift.

So what I’d like for you guys to do is write a comment asking me a question taht you would love to ask these possible mentors if you had the chance to meet them. Remember we are all in this together and the more we can help each other out with what is right and what is the, the better it will be for us in the long run.

Having a blog for me is very fun. Seeing it grow and people coming and reading it is absolutely brilliant. But it is hard work. I have hit a rut, I dont know what to write and am having real problems coming up with a new blog post, but i know that I have to do this or else my blog will ceese to exist.

I remember hearing from an internet marketer that has a very successful blog about a technique that he uses to get the creative juices flowing and start writing good quality content – now this idea isnt his, it comes from the late great copywriting legend Gary Halbert, so I thought I’d give it a try.

So here it is….. Just start writing…. What?!

Yep, it’s that simple, just start writing any old words down on a piece of paper or what might be your computer now, and start to get those juices flowing. Hey, it’s what I’m doing right now, and I alredy have an idea about this blog post!

You see the main problem that people have with writing is they think that what they write isnt going to be good enough for other people to want to read, but that really isnt true at all. For years in school, I never handed in my homework assignments on time, they were last minute rush jobs and the reason for this was that I was always aiming for perfection in everything that I did. Now although it would be lovely to have perfection every time, the simple truth of the matter is… IT WILL NOT HAPPEN!

And that is the main reason people dont get things done, people dont write blog posts, people dont hand in homework assignments, people dont start the business they have been dreaming of and so on and so forth….. it’s because they believe that everything they do must be perfect and nothing else will be good enough.

Well I got news for you…. Perfection rarely happens, and if it does happen for you, remember that it most likely wont be perfection for other people… So, why strive for perfection, when excellence, or brilliant, or amazing, or just a down right good read are just as good… And the thing about the ones i just mentioned is that you can get these done!

I know i have rabbited on about this, but is this just me or are you in the same boat?

The plain and simple truth of the matter is…. if you dont even make a start at something it is never going to happen… so if you are like me and you get stuck and you are only human i have a simple plan to get yourself out of it…

1. Get a pen and paper

2. Start writing!

Thats it, nothing more profound, nothing more amazing for me to share, except maybe i think it has a lt to do with your mindset also.

In order for you to believe that you can do this, I think personally that you need to get your mindset sorted out. I am in the process of doing it (it’s an ongoing thing) and I believe it has helped me make the most of what I have and also strive for more, a hell of a lot more.

So I want you to ask yourself a few questions that I have previously asked myself (on numerous occasions) !

Goal setting question 7. If you were told you had six months to live, how would you live them?

1. What are your dreams, desires and expectations? (do this as if nothing was impossible) – for me it was that I wanted to be financially free, be able to do what I want, when I want, help my parents, travel the world, eat in the best restaurants, have a very successful internet business.

2.  What great thing would you attempt if you knew that you couldn’t fail? – for me it is walking to the North Pole (sad but I would love to do it, and will do it in the future)

3. What behaviours do you need to change to make these dreams a reality? – Me, it was procrastination and fear, fear of not being liked, or my work laughed at or not good enough. Procrastination of well… Everything

4. How much money do you want to make? – Loads of money, I dont want to have to worry, care or be ever in need of it. I want to be able to help my family and friends and not worry about it.

Now what I want you to do is post your answers to these questions here, lets work through this together and remember two heads, or more are better than one!

Life can be very good if you let it! I mean it, seriously…. this stuff really works, it’s not BS as alot of people would have you believe, it’s not new age rubbish either, this has been the cornerstone of nearly every successful person that has evert walke this planet.. so dont listen to what I am saying, listen to what millions more successful people have done to make their dreams a reality.

This is the way forward guys, and through this I can tell you from the bottom of my heart this stuff works, and guess what, the other day I made my first considerable bit of money on the internet, not a huge amount but a couple of thousand pound and I credit it to doing this simple exercise.

But, thats just the beginning and I would love to do this with you…. Lets make a success of this internet game together... like we should be doing.

Who knows, maybe some day we will be the ones up on stage talking about our journey and showing people just like us now how to make loads of money online.

Thats what I feel anyway and I hope to hear what your feelings are too.
