Increasing web traffic is probably one of the biggest things an internet marketer must do when working online, but the sad fact of the matter is that people just dont know how to increase web traffic and they put too much effort into not increasing web traffic (thats right – NOT INCREASING WEB TRAFFIC), which I find confusing.

During my internet marketing career I have had the pleasure of sitting down with some of the top internet marketers in the world on many occassions. Nah, don’t believe that. Simple. It’s not true!

Now, would you believe you can increase web traffic by "traffic redirection"?

I know of one method that utilizes this and it is called "Expired Domain Traffic". This works by receiving traffic through an expired domain, if your topic categories match each other.

Although this method is not annoying, it has failed to emphasize that :

1) The majority of their business does NOT come from repeat customers

In this business, most users are first timers and not "repeat customers".

So, if you are a first timer, you have to go to certain discussion forums to get a true assessment. You don’t have to believe in evrything that their site says because sometimes, testimonials are made up.

2.) While the expired domain traffic is targeted, it is not specific enough to your particular niche.

What I am saying is that if example you have a cellphone electronic website, then your traffic could come from an expired "electronic" domain.

So, it is not specific enough since "electronics" could mean anything from cellphone to computers.

3.) Traffic Delivery

One major question is that do they really deliver traffic from expired domains?

What I mean is that, is there really traffic happening?

if ever there is, still, no matter how an expired domain was promoted, it can lose its value.

As customers, who would want to go to an expired one?

4.) Paid Traffic

Now, I know that Google AdSense ads can be converted to cash so if you’re planning to put up some on this kind of method, then I hope against hopes that you won’t get banned.

But, if you really want to try this one, you need extensive keyword research, testing, trial and error, and a huge amount of luck. Who knows if it is just luck that you need?
