The Biggest Problem With Paid Traffic is that people don’t understand how to use it. I was sitting down last night doing my planning for the month ahead and the first question that sprang into my head was “how can I monetize everything that I am about to do?”, how can I ensure that I am making more money than I am spending?

You see this is probably the most important question you can ask yourself about making money from paid traffic, and do you know what the second most important question you have to ask yourself is?

“How can I ensure that my site is converting the traffic into sales that I send to it?” Because with all the great paid traffic in the  world, and it’s pretty easy to get, if you are not getting your website to covert the people into sales then you are losing out, and most definitely losing money.

No matter if you are buying:

Google AdWords traffic
Banner traffic on people websites
Pop up traffic
Or even Ezine traffic, no matter what form of paid traffic, if you website is not converting that traffic into sales then you are completely wasting your time and most importantly your money.

So what do you have to do with the traffic? Well I mentioned that it is easy to get targeted traffic to your website, but we need that converting site to make the money, so let’s have a look at a website and see what might be the problem.

Is your conversion process wrong?
How about your sales letter, have you looked at that to see if it is converting well, maybe it could even be the graphics that you are using, some might not be responsive to your direct response marketing efforts.

Or it might not even be that much, it could just be the headline of your website, it could be how it is laid out, or even just as simple as your order form isn’t working (it does happen). You see your job as a direct response marketer is to convince people to purchase your product or service, but if any of the above are out of whack, or even all the hundred more things that it could be you are going to be buying loads of traffic and not making a profit.

So the way to do this is test your offer, test your page, test everything, get your conversion rate up, get people into your back end and then most importantly increase your visitor value.
