Making money on the internet is not that hard to do. When you think about it, you set up a website, you drive traffic to it and then you make sales, right? Wrong, there is more to it than just that. You see no matter how much traffic or visitors you get to your website, if you do not have your conversion process in place you are leaving piles of money on the table.
You see traffic is a major expenditure, that’s either expenditure of your hard earned cash or of your time. So first thing first when we have our product and are creating our website we need to get our conversion process in place.
So what have we got to do?
Let’s focus on paid traffic right now. For every person you are getting to your website, how much money are you making? Or even, maybe you are not making money now but you have a system in place that will turn those people into customers in a month’s time.
You see, every dime, cent, minute or hour that you spend getting traffic to your site you must be able to recover that cost, and the reason why this is, if you don’t well then your marketing system is not working and you are losing money!
You need that conversion process. To start off with you need a lead capture page or a squeeze page, whatever, but on top of that you need great copywriting, you also need a great sales page and I think a lot of people forget this; you need a very good follow up series.
The problem I see with internet marketers is that they are too scattered in their approach, they are not focused enough and with doing this they are kicking themselves in the foot. The solution is easy, get your conversion process in place, choose one traffic strategy to start off with and work out your metrics.
How much are you spending in getting one person to your site and how much are you making. When you have mastered this, systemise it, and outsource it and move onto the next strategy. If you are one of the many marketers that are failing to make ends meet, it may be time to try a new way, try a one strategy approach to start and when you have that working move on.
